Rhenish almond waffles

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 125 g ground almonds
  • 120 g powdered sugar
  • 120 g butter
  • 250 g wheat flour
  • 5 eggs
  • some orange peel, grated
  • 4 tbsp cream
  • Fat for the waffle iron

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cream the butter until fluffy and combine with the ground almonds and sugar. Then fold in the eggs, flour, and orange zest. Thin the batter with a little cream. Grease the hot waffle iron and bake the waffles.
