Rhubarb dumplings

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Salt
  • 150 g rhubarb
  • 100 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

like my mother makes them

Mix flour, egg, water, and salt into a dough. It should be quite thick. Then trim the rhubarb, cut it into small pieces, and fold it into the dough. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add salt. Drop a spoonful of dough into the water, then carefully lift the dumplings from the bottom of the pot and let them cook for 10-15 minutes. Transfer the dumplings to plates, sprinkle with sugar or serve with jam. The kids will especially love this!
