Rhubarb iced tea

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 kg rhubarb
  • 30 g fresh ginger
  • 120 g sugar
  • 3 tea bags (hibiscus tea)
  • some ice (crushed ice)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Clean the rhubarb and cut into pieces. Peel and slice the ginger. Bring the rhubarb to a boil in a saucepan with the sugar, ginger, and 1 liter of water. Add the tea bags, cover, and let steep over low heat for about 8 to 10 minutes. Allow the rhubarb juice to cool, then strain through a fine sieve. Fill glasses with crushed ice and top with the rhubarb juice.
