Rice cake with tomato sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 spring onions
  • 3 large onions
  • 6 garlic cloves, marinated in herb oil
  • 4 tomatoes, pickled
  • 1 pack of rice cake, sliced
  • 1 can tomatoes, peeled
  • salt and pepper
  • chili powder
  • Basil, dried
  • Oregano, dried
  • 300 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Chop the onions, spring onions, pickled tomatoes, and garlic cloves and fry them in a pan with olive oil. Add the canned tomatoes and water. Season the sauce with herbs and spices. Finally, add the rice cakes and simmer for about 10 minutes.
