Rice meat with minced meat

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 pack of tomatoes
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup rice
  • 250 ml vegetable stock
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • some white wine
  • n. B. herbs, (Italian herbs)
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Brown the minced meat in a wide saucepan with a little oil until it browns. In the meantime, dice the onions and add them to the minced meat, sautéing gently. Add the tomato paste and sauté until a light film forms on the bottom of the pan. The tomato paste loses its bitterness as it sautés. Now add the garlic. If you like, you can deglaze the dish with a little white wine. Once the liquid has evaporated, add the rice, tomatoes, stock, and Italian herbs. Season with a good pinch of sugar, salt, and pepper. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes over medium heat. Stir occasionally and keep an eye on the consistency. If the mixture becomes too runny, remove the lid. The dish also reheats easily. Some people even find it tastes better reheated.
