Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g apples
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 125 g wheat flour
  • 2 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • possibly fruit, as desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Peel, quarter, core, and slice the apples. Beat the eggs and sugar until frothy. Add the lemon juice. Mix the flour and baking powder, sift, and stir in. Layer the batter and apples alternately in a greased baking dish. The top layer should be batter. Place the baking dish on the oven rack in a preheated oven. 175-200°C (150-220°F). Gas mark 2-3. Bake for approximately 30 minutes. Other fruit can be used instead of apples, such as blueberries, plums, or cherries.
