Rice with leftover meat

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 125 g rice
  • ½ liter of water or broth
  • 100 g bacon
  • 2 g onion(s)
  • 30 g butter
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree
  • 80 g grated Parmesan or Swiss cheese
  • ½ kg meat, cooked or fried

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Fry the diced bacon and add the finely chopped onions. Once the onions are slightly sautéed, add the well-washed rice, broth, tomato puree, pepper, and salt. Once the rice is tender, add the diced meat, cheese, a knob of butter, and, if desired, gravy or bouillon powder, and mix everything gently so as not to crush the rice grains.
