Roasted almonds salty – sweet

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g almonds
  • 60 g sugar
  • 1 tsp, leveled salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp cumin
  • 1 pinch of clove powder
  • ½ tsp curry powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Caution – risk of addiction!

Peel the almonds (you can also use hazelnuts or walnuts instead) and spread them out on a baking sheet. Roast in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 10-15 minutes until golden brown, then let cool. Mix the spices with salt and sugar. Heat the almonds in a pan. Sprinkle the spice mixture over the almonds and fry until caramelized. Break them apart on a sheet of baking paper and let cool.
