Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
from the oven, like from the Christmas market
Preheat the oven to 200°C fan/convection oven. Score the chestnuts with a cross-sectional or cross-cut cut. This is best done with a carpet knife (be careful not to damage the pit!). Now place the chestnuts in the hot oven for 15 minutes, then turn them over and roast for another 5-10 minutes before removing them.
