Roasted rabbit legs

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 kg rabbit, cut up
  • salt and pepper
  • Mustard
  • 2 large onions, roughly chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 leaf of celery
  • Fondor
  • some sauce thickener
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Wash the meat thoroughly and dry well. Season with salt and pepper. Then spread it thickly with mustard. Brown it all over in an ovenproof dish in a little oil. When the meat is slightly browned, add the onion pieces. Pour in a little water, add the bay leaf and celery leaf, and roast in a preheated oven at 180°C for 1 hour. Add a little water occasionally. When the meat is tender, season the cooking juices with salt, pepper, and Fondor, and thicken with a little sauce thickener if desired. Dumplings are best served with this dish.
