Rosemary cheese scones

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp, leveled salt
  • 1 tbsp rosemary, freshly chopped
  • 200 g butter
  • 125 g Cheddar cheese, freshly grated
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 ml milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

makes 16 pieces

Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and rosemary. Sprinkle the butter in small pieces. Knead until the dough is crumbly. Briefly knead in the cheese. Add the eggs. Gradually stir in the milk until the dough is slightly smooth. Divide the dough in half and form into two balls. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and flatten into flatbreads. Lightly score 8 “cake slices” into each scone with a sharp knife. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
