Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g almonds, ground
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tbsp rosemary needles
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 figs, dried

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Paleo Low-Carb Snack

Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Finely chop the fresh rosemary and figs and knead with the remaining ingredients to form a dough. Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Place the dough on top. Place a second sheet of baking paper on top of the dough and flatten it with a rolling pin – the dough will take up about 3/4 of the baking sheet. Bake for about 10-15 minutes, until golden brown (depending on your oven). Remove from the oven and immediately cut into about 20-30 pieces. They will become firm after cooling. Once completely cooled at room temperature, they can be stored in a container for a few days, although they may soften again.
