  • 125 g flour, sifted
  • 2 tsp, heaped sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ⅛ liter milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Fat for frying, approx. 1 kg
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 minute; Total time approx. 26 minutes

for a rosette waffle iron

Mix flour, sugar, salt, milk, and eggs into a thin batter. Let it rest for 10 minutes. Heat the frying oil. Hold the waffle iron in the hot oil for 1 minute. Dip the iron into the batter up to the top edge; do not allow it to run over the surface, or the batter will stick to the iron and make it impossible to remove the waffle. Cook in the hot oil until the waffle releases from the iron. Cool on kitchen paper and dust with powdered sugar. The preparation is clearly explained with photos. The recipe yields approximately 25 waffles.
