The perfect roulade casserole with mushrooms recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 400 g Mushrooms
  • 2 piece Onion
  • 250 ml Hunter sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste concentrated three times
  • 2 tbsp Food starch
  • 200 g Cream
  • 4 piece Pork or beef roulades
  • 125 g Diced Bacon
  1. Cut the mushrooms into slices, finely dice the onions and fry them in a large pan. Season with salt and pepper
  1. Add tomato paste and sweat briefly, then deglaze with the hunter sauce.
  1. Mix the cream with the starch in a small bowl and add to the onion, mushroom sauce and stir well until it thickens! Then take it off the plate!
  1. Take a large baking dish and layer the roulades, sauce and bacon alternately. Finish with sauce and bacon at the end!
  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C and bake for 2 hours, after 1 hour cover the baking dish with aluminum foil so that it doesn’t get too dark! I always have potatoes with it, we also easily eat the casserole for 2 days, the next day it tastes almost even better!
