Roulades with Puszta Salad Filling

The perfect roulades with puszta salad filling recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Beef roulades
  • Salt, pepper, mustard
  • 3 tbsp Puszta salad
  • 2 Onions
  • Sauce binder dark
  1. Salt and pepper the roulade and spread a thin layer of mustard.
  2. Place the puszta salad in the middle of the roulade.
  3. Fold in the sides and roll up the meat with the filling into a roulade. Close the roulade with a roulade skewer or twine.
  4. Season on the outside with salt and pepper.
  5. Sear it all over on all sides in a roasting pan.
  6. Deglaze with about 1.5 liters of water. Clean 2 onions, cut into quarters and add to the meat in the roasting pan.
  7. Simmer on the stove for 1.5 hours at medium temperature.
  8. Remove the roulades and use the sauce thickener to make a sauce from the meat juices, season again if necessary and sift.
