  • 24 pieces of chocolate decoration (chocolate drops)
  • 12 cookies (mini soft cakes)
  • 24 pieces of chocolate decoration (mini chocolate pretzels)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

for 12 Christmas chocolate muffins

Dough: Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff. Melt the butter. Mix together all the other ingredients for the dough. Then stir the egg whites into the batter with a spoon. Spoon the batter into 12 muffin tins and bake for about 15 minutes at 180 degrees. Allow to cool. Decoration: Melt the chocolate coating. Halve the marshmallows and stick a chocolate drop on the sticky side to form a pupil. Cover the muffins with the chocolate coating. Stick two chocolate pretzels on top of the chocolate coating to form antlers. Place two marshmallows on each muffin for the eyes. Place a soft cake under the eyes to form a face and stick a chocolate button in the middle of the cookie with chocolate coating to form a red nose. Tip: Adding fruit to the batter while baking makes the muffins even moister. Cherries, for example, go very well with them.
