Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg plum(s)
  • 3 can/n Cola, e.g. B. Red Bull Cola
  • 1 liter tomato ketchup
  • 100 g tomato paste
  • 2 lemon(s), the juice
  • 4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 tbsp curry powder (Madras curry)
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 20 minutes

Simmer the frozen or fresh plums with the cola (it doesn’t have to be Red Bull Cola) over low heat for about 1.5 hours until reduced by a third. Finally, puree everything. Then add the curry powder, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, squeezed lemon juice, and ketchup and bring back to a boil. Season with salt, pepper, and curry powder, if desired. The sauce can be easily bottled or frozen.
