Rumfort – Casserole

The perfect rumfort – casserole recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 600 g Potatoes
  • 0,5 Pc. Broccoli
  • 3 Pc. Spring onions
  • 8 Florets Brussels sprouts cooked the day before
  • 0,5 Pc. Red peppers
  • 50 ml Cream
  • Salt, paprika powder, pepper
  • 0,5 teaspoon Vegetable stock powder
  • 3 tbsp Herbal cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Butter for the mold
  • Grated cheese
  1. Wash, peel and dice the potatoes and boil them in salted water until soft.
  2. In the meantime, wash and clean the vegetables and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the spring onions in it. Then add the paprika and finally the broccoli to the pan and sauté. Deglaze the vegetables with the cream and add the spices, add a little water if necessary and cook everything until al dente.
  4. Drain the soft potatoes and mash them with a masher while adding the cream cheese. The mass shouldn’t be too thin.
  5. Butter a casserole dish and put the mashed potatoes in it as a bed. Spread the vegetable mixture on top and sprinkle with cheese.
  6. Baked in a preheated oven at 200 ° C – fan-assisted – for about 15-20 minutes until the cheese has a light crust.
