Sabine’s Spice Cake

The perfect sabine’s spice cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 300 g Butter
  • 300 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 packet Ginger bread spice
  • 1 Mssp. Ground cardamom
  • 1 Mssp. Nutmeg
  • 1 Mssp Ground cloves
  • 0,5 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Arrack
  • 1 Pr Salt
  • 2 tbsp Chocolate sprinkles
  • 100 g Ground almonds
  • 200 g Flour
  • 30 g Cocoa powder
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 25 ml Rum
  • *************
  • Fat and crumbs for the mold
  • *************
  • Powdered sugar
  1. Beat the egg whites with salt until stiff. Mix the butter and both types of sugar until frothy, add the egg yolks, then add all the spices and the chocolate shavings one after the other and stir in. Alternate flour, almonds and baking powder with milk and rum and stir in as briefly as possible so that the dough stays nice and loose.
  2. Fill the dough into a greased and crumbled pan and bake at 180 ° C / fan oven for approx. 50-60 minutes …… STICK SAMPLE !!!!
  3. Dust the finished cake with powdered sugar and enjoy.
