Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 800 g potatoes
  • salt and pepper
  • 500 g fish fillet(s) (plaice fillet)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • n. B. Flour
  • 2 eggs
  • e.g. breadcrumbs
  • oil
  • 150 g bacon, streaky
  • 3 gherkins
  • 80 g cheese (Gouda)
  • 2 tbsp ketchup

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel the potatoes, boil until tender, let cool slightly, and slice. Rinse the fish, pat dry, cut each fillet into two or three pieces, drizzle with lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper. Coat in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs, and fry in oil until golden brown. Remove from the oven. Dice the bacon, fry in 1 tablespoon of oil, fry the potato slices, and season with salt and pepper. Place the potatoes in an ovenproof dish and arrange the fish cutlets on top. Slice the cucumbers and arrange on top. Cut the cheese into strips and arrange on top. Bake briefly in the oven at 180°C until the cheese melts. Serve with ketchup.
