Salmon fillet in a banana leaf

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 salmon fillets without skin
  • 2 leaves from the banana tree
  • salt and pepper
  • lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Season the salmon fillets well with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Wash and dry the banana leaves, and cut into appropriately sized pieces. Place the salmon fillets on the banana leaves. Wrap the leaves and tie them into parcels with kitchen string. Line a baking sheet with foil, place the parcels on top, and cook in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Serve with basmati rice or fragrant rice and a light sauce of your choice.
