Salmon fillet in sesame and herb coating

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 pieces of salmon fillet(s), fresh or frozen
  • some sesame
  • Herbs of your choice, e.g. basil, lemon balm, sage,…
  • some oil
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

First, mix the breading together on a small plate. To do this, finely chop the herbs and mix with salt and sesame seeds. There are actually no limits to the choice of herbs. I’ve tried lemon balm, sage, and basil. I dried the herbs beforehand, but fresh herbs should work too. Carefully roll the thawed salmon fillet in the mixture until all four sides of the fish are coated. Cook the fillet in a pan with a little oil over medium heat until the fish is no longer raw in the middle. For me, the cooking time was about 15 minutes. The crust shouldn’t burn, so keep an eye on the temperature and turn the fillet frequently. Pasta and spinach go perfectly with this dish.
