Salmon with cheese and sage

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 salmon fillets (200 g each)
  • 4 slice(s) cheese, Taleggio- without rind (or other mildly spicy)
  • 8 leaves of sage, fresh
  • 8 slice(s) ham, raw
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • n. B. Olive oil, extra virgin, for drizzling

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Season the fish with salt and pepper. Cut the cheese to the size of the fillets and place them on top. Place two sage leaves on each cheese-fish fillet and wrap each in two slices of ham. Heat a steak pan. Place the wrapped fillets in the pan and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Carefully flip them with a spatula and cook for another 5 minutes. Transfer the fillets to the plate and drizzle with olive oil, if desired.
