Salsiccia Sausage Rolls

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 400 g sausage
  • 1 roll of topping dough
  • 75 g Cheddar, grated
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp couscous
  • 1 tsp, heaped fennel seeds
  • 1 tbsp spice(s), e.g. pepper, garlic powder, paprika powder
  • some oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Sausage puff pastry rolls

Preheat oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Remove the skin from the sausage rolls and place them in a bowl. Add the couscous so that it can absorb the juices while baking. Knead all ingredients thoroughly. Spread the mixture on the puff pastry and roll it out like a strudel. Brush with egg or oil and cut into equal pieces. Arrange on a baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown. Tips: A sour cream sauce, for example, goes well with the sausage rolls. Rolls can be quickly reheated in the air fryer.
