Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 sheets of puff pastry, frozen
  • 250 g minced meat (mixed)
  • 1 pack of tomato sauce with herbs and garlic
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 4 tsp Pesto alla Genovese from the jar
  • ½ tsp mustard, medium hot
  • 5 tbsp cream (or a little more/less)
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • chili powder
  • Paprika powder (hot)
  • Pizza seasoning
  • Tabasco
  • 4 slices of cheese, young Gouda (e.g. Frico)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Thaw the puff pastry sheets and brown the minced meat in a little fat. Then combine the tomato sauce (or pureed canned tomatoes and 1/2 – 1 crushed garlic clove) with tomato paste, pesto, mustard, and cream, and mix well. Add the minced meat and season the sauce well. Spread the sauce (not too thickly) evenly on the puff pastry sheets, leaving a space of about 1-1.5 cm around the edges. Then chop the cheese slightly and arrange it on top. Carefully roll the whole thing up and place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in the oven at 180°C (fan oven) for about 15 minutes. The sauce also goes well with pasta.
