Salt in coffee: bitter was yesterday
Descale your coffee machine regularly. Make sure your coffee powder is not too fine. In addition to calcification, this can also lead to a bitter taste. If you have an adjustable grinder, grind the coffee coarser. If your coffee still tastes bitter, you can use salt to help:
- Even a small pinch of salt neutralizes the bitter taste and emphasizes the aroma.
- To do this, simply add some salt to your finished coffee and stir it well.
- Don’t worry: Because of the few grains of salt, your coffee won’t taste salty right away.
- Another alternative is that you already mix the salt into your coffee powder.
- Add a pinch of salt per cup and then freshly brew the coffee. This way there is no bitter taste in the first place.
