Sandwich roll with ham and cheese

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 slices of sandwich toast
  • 40 g cream cheese
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of sweet paprika powder
  • 4 slices of cooked ham
  • 4 pieces of Cheddar cheese, approx. 20 g each
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 30 g butter
  • 2 tbsp rapeseed oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cut the crusts off the slices of toast and roll out the bread thinly. Season the cream cheese with salt and paprika and spread it on the bread. Cut the cress with scissors and scatter it on top. Top with the ham. Place a strip of cheddar cheese on the bottom edge of each slice of toast and then roll up the bread tightly. Whisk the egg and milk in a bowl and add the breadcrumbs to a second bowl. Coat the toast rolls first in the egg, then in the breadcrumbs. Heat the oil and butter in a pan and fry the toast rolls over medium heat until golden brown on all sides. Serve with a leaf salad.
