Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 400 g sauerkraut, cooked, cold
- 8 slice(s) ham (farmer’s ham), large thin slices
- 2 ½ dl cooking cream, 15% fat
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- ½ tsp tomato paste
- ½ tsp sweet paprika powder
- 1 tbsp chives, finely chopped
- 1 clove(s) garlic, crushed
- some salt and pepper from the mill
- 5 tbsp Sbrinz, grated
- some parsley, finely chopped, for sprinkling
- Butter for the mold
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Preheat the oven to 220°C (top/bottom heat). Squeeze the sauerkraut well, distribute it among the 8 slices of ham, and roll them up to form 8 rolls. Place the ham rolls in a buttered baking dish. Mix the cream, ketchup, tomato paste, paprika, chives, garlic, generous amounts of salt, and pepper together thoroughly. Pour the sauce over the ham rolls and sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes on the second-lowest rack in the hot oven. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with parsley.
