  • 1 large garlic clove(s)

  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper
  • 20 ml water
  • 50 g ham, raw

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Preheat oven to 170 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, finely dice the ham, half an onion, and half a clove of garlic and sauté in 1 tablespoon of olive oil. As soon as the onions are translucent, add the sauerkraut and pour in the water. After 5 minutes, transfer everything to a casserole dish and place in the preheated oven. In a hot pan with the remaining oil, fry the sausages on both sides until golden brown. Then place them on top of the cabbage in the oven. Sauté the remaining diced onion, garlic, and chili in the sausage fat, then deglaze with the beef stock. Simmer everything over low heat for about 5 minutes. Then add the sausages for about 2 minutes. Serve the sauerkraut with the sausages and chili-onion sauce hot.
