a delicious sausage ragout in oriental style.
Dice the onions and sauté in a large pan. Then add the sliced bell peppers and sauté for 3 minutes. Now add the canned tomatoes and their juice, followed by the stock cube (crushed) and a little water and chili powder if desired. Continue simmering, breaking up the tomatoes as you go. Finally, add the sliced sausages. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Add the cumin and season with a dash of soy sauce. To thicken the sauce slightly, add cornstarch or flour. I recommend serving couscous (125g) as a side dish. Bring 250ml of water to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat and add the couscous. Let it swell for just 2-3 minutes and serve. Alternatively, you can use rice, but this will lose some of the oriental flavor.
