Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 apple
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 kg bratwurst in one piece
  • 4 slices of breakfast bacon
  • 2 tbsp white wine
  • Spice(s) as desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Mix together the mustard, ketchup, wine (optional), and seasonings. Peel and quarter the apple, remove the core, and cut into wedges. Peel and slice the onion. Roll the sausage into a large snail shape, alternating pieces of bacon, onions, and apples between the slices. Secure with long skewers and grill until browned on each side. This takes about 15-20 minutes. Brush with the mustard sauce frequently.
