Sausage salad with balsamic onions

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g Bockwurst of your choice
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 5 tbsp balsamic vinegar, dark
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp, heaped mustard, medium hot
  • curry powder
  • salt and pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

cold and warm simply delicious

Cut the sausages into thin slices. Halve the onions and slice into strips. Dice the bell peppers. Fry the sausage slices in a little oil until crispy. Place the fried sausage slices in a bowl and mix with the curry powder. Fry the onion strips in the remaining oil in the pan until translucent. Add the balsamic vinegar, honey, and mustard, stir, and reduce the heat. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the balsamic onions to the sausage slices and mix well. Add the diced bell peppers and mix well again. The salad can be enjoyed warm or cold.
