Savory Meat Rolls with Leek
The perfect savory meat rolls with leek recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the filling:
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1 Diced onion
- 300 g Mixed minced meat
- 1 Egg
- 1 teaspoon Sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon Mustard
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 half a teaspoon Pepper
- 1 Knife point Red chilli flakes
- 2 tablespoon Breadcrumbs
Also:
- 4 Discs Cooked ham
- 4 Cheese slices
- 4 Bacon slices
- Butter for the mold
- 2 Rods Leek
- 250 ml Tomato sauce **
- 150 ml Cream
- Fry half of the diced onion in the oil until translucent and allow to cool again. Then mix all the specified ingredients into a spicy minced dough and let it rest for about 15 minutes. During this time, clean the leek and cut into slightly thicker slices. Preheat the oven to 180 °.
- Lay out the ham slices next to each other and cover each with a slice of cheese. Divide the dough into four parts, shape into rolls with moistened hands, place on the ham topped with cheese and roll up in it. For a better hold, wrap a slice of bacon around it, which gives everything a slightly smoky taste kick.
- Brush an ovenproof dish with butter, distribute the leek slices in the dish and place the rolls on top. First pour the tomato sauce, then the cream over the rolls and sprinkle some more pepper over them. Bake in the preheated stove for about 35 to 40 minutes.
- I served spaetzle with it. Good Appetite!
- ** I always have tomato sauce in my frozen stock – self-made at the time of the tomato glut – and then always ready for a use like here pasta with tomato sauce …
