Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 150 ml milk, lukewarm
- 1 cube of yeast
- 2 tsp sugar
- 500 g flour, maybe a little more
- 2 tsp salt
- 75 g butter, soft
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp pizza seasoning
- 150 g cheese, grated
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 day 21 hours; Total time approx. 1 day 21 hours 20 minutes
Pizza-style yeast braids, for 12 braids
Dissolve the yeast in the milk with the sugar and let it rise in a warm place for 10-12 minutes. Whisk the butter, salt, and eggs, add the yeast, and mix with the flour to form a yeast dough (you may need more than 500g of flour). Divide the dough into 12 portions and twist into braids. Let them rise for another 30-45 minutes on the baking sheet, either near the heater or at a very low temperature (about 35°C) in the oven. Then preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Mix the tomato paste with the oil and pizza seasoning. Brush the braids with this mixture and sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
