Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g chicken breast fillet(s) without skin and bones
  • 40 g oil (sunflower oil)
  • 50 g butter
  • 300 g onion(s)
  • 200 g carrot(s)
  • 100 g leek
  • 4 egg yolks
  • ½ lemon(s)
  • ½ garlic clove(s)
  • herbs, chopped
  • salt and pepper

Saxon cuisine

Cut the chicken into strips and marinate with pepper, lemon, and crushed garlic. Then cut the peeled carrots, celery, and leek into strips and briefly boil them in hot water. Sauté the onion slices in hot oil, then add the marinated chicken and then the vegetable strips. Finally, pour the beaten eggs mixed with the herbs over the meat and let it stand briefly. In Saxony, the chicken is often served with fried potatoes and fresh salad.
