Sbrinz – Terrine with walnuts

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g cheese (Sbrinz), coarsely grated
  • 50 g walnuts, finely chopped
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 ½ dl cream
  • some butter, soft for greasing
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Butter the terrine dish and line it with baking paper so that the terrine can still be covered. Butter the paper as well and then sprinkle with the finely chopped nuts. Refrigerate until ready to use. Whisk the coarsely grated Sbrinz with the eggs, egg yolk, and cream and season with salt, pepper, and freshly grated nutmeg. Pour the mixture into the terrine dish and cover with the paper. Fill an ovenproof dish large enough to hold the terrine with boiling water until the terrine dish is about two-thirds full. Bake the terrine in the oven at 180°C for about one hour. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Turn out and slice.
