Schnitzel Mephisto

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pork schnitzels (also turkey schnitzels)
  • salt and pepper
  • Mustard
  • Cranberries
  • 4 slice(s) cheese (e.g. Gouda)

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Season the schnitzels with salt and pepper as usual and fry them in a pan. Once they’ve browned well and are cooked through, place them on a baking sheet, spread with mustard (I prefer Monschau mustard from the Senfmühle), add a layer of cranberries, and finally, place a slice of cheese on each schnitzel. I then place this combination in the preheated oven at around 180 to 200 degrees Celsius (350 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit) until the cheese has melted. Serve with a delicious mixed salad and spaetzle or croquettes. Enjoy!
