Schnitzel with tomato and cheese sauce

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 6 pork schnitzels, 150 g each
  • 100 g flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 stalk(s) leek, medium-sized
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 6 m.-large tomato(s)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 150 g whipped cream
  • 150 g crème fraîche
  • 150g Gorgonzola

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash the schnitzel and pat dry. Season with salt and pepper, and coat in flour. Slice the leek into rings, and dice the onion and tomatoes. Heat the oil and fry the leek with the onion. Stir in the tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the cream and crème fraîche and bring to a boil briefly. Add the Gorgonzola and let it dissolve. Season with salt and pepper. Place the schnitzel in a baking dish and pour the sauce over it. Bake in the oven at 150°C for about 1 1/2 hours. Serve with delicious baguette or rice.
