Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 egg(s)
  • 300 ml milk
  • 100 ml sugar
  • 900 ml flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 50 g yeast
  • 75 g butter
  • 100 ml cream
  • 150 g marzipan
  • 250 g cream for filling
  • 1 egg(s), beaten, for brushing
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes

Swedish pastries

Mix the dough ingredients to form a yeast dough. Add enough flour until it forms strings. Let it rise for 1/2 hour. Knead the dough again. Form approximately 10-12 balls and place them on a prepared baking sheet. Let them rest for another 1/2 hour. Preheat oven to 190°C (fan oven). Brush the dough balls with beaten egg and then bake for approximately 7-10 minutes. Let them cool on a wire rack, then cut open and hollow out the dough balls. Mix the marzipan mixture with the 100 ml of cream and the filling of the balls and pour it back into the balls. Whip the cream and spread it between the two halves of the balls. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Even big eaters will only manage 2, maximum 3 of these balls.
