semolina dumplings

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 egg(s)
  • semolina

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 day 6 hours; Total time approx. 1 day 6 hours 10 minutes

Soup garnish

Whisk the egg. Add the semolina—always a little—and stir in. I deliberately didn’t specify the semolina quantity, as it varies greatly depending on the size of the egg. Stir in enough semolina until the mixture is very thick—it should drip off the fork, not run. Let stand for half an hour. Form dumplings with a spoon and drop them directly into the boiling soup. Let simmer for half an hour. The dumplings are ready when they sink to the bottom of the pot!
