Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 225 g margarine
- 300 g sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 350 g flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 2 ½ tbsp Nutella
- Margarine, for greasing
- Flour, for dusting
- Powdered sugar, for decoration
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Beat the sugar and margarine with the eggs until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the vanilla sugar and beat briefly again. Combine the flour and baking powder and add to the mixing bowl a spoonful at a time, whisking continuously. Add the milk a little at a time, whisking well. Once the flour and milk are completely incorporated, whisk for a few more minutes to ensure the batter is well blended. Now grease a marble cake pan with the margarine and dust with the remaining flour. Pour 2/3 of the batter into the pan and spread evenly. Mix the remaining batter with Nutella until it gets a pleasant chocolatey color. Pour the colored batter in a circle over the light-colored batter and fold in with a fork. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 50 minutes. Check the cake is done every now and then with a knitting needle. If there’s still dough hanging from the pin, the cake needs a few more minutes. After baking, let it cool on a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
