Serbian bean soup

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 onion(s), chopped
  • 1 garlic clove(s), chopped
  • 2 peppers, red, cut into strips
  • 8 tomatoes, dried
  • 2 chili peppers (Piri Piri)
  • 1 carrot(s), cut into very small cubes
  • ¼ celery root, cut into very small cubes
  • 2 gr. can/n beans, white
  • 10 sausages (Debreziner)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Tomato paste with root vegetables
  • Salt and pepper marjoram
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • marjoram
  • Broth, granulated

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Heat the oil and sauté all ingredients except the celery for 10 minutes. Add the beans, stir in the tomato paste, and pour in about 1 liter of broth. Add the spices and simmer for 30 minutes. Season again to taste and add the chopped Debreziner sausages to the soup. Heat briefly and serve.
