Sesame garlic beans

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g beans, green
  • 20 g sesame seeds
  • 4 garlic cloves, cut into thin slices
  • fish sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly vegetable broth
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Bean vegetables with an exotic touch

Toast the sesame seeds without fat until lightly browned. Remove from the pan. Sauté the garlic in oil, add the beans and a little water (I use frozen/precooked beans; if using raw beans, you’ll obviously need to allow for a longer preparation time). Simmer gently until the beans are tender. Season with salt, pepper, and a little vegetable stock, if desired. Add a dash of fish sauce. Caution: The sauce is very intense! Two dashes are enough, I think. Serve warm as a side dish or as an appetizer.
