Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg pork goulash
  • some oil
  • 2 bell peppers, red
  • 2 onions
  • 1 can of mushrooms
  • Tomato paste
  • 1 package tomatoes, pureed
  • Meat broth
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • chili powder
  • Honey
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • cola

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Brown the pork goulash in a little oil and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili powder. Stir in the chopped onions and bell peppers. Stir in the drained mushrooms (fresh ones work great too) and sauté everything with a little tomato paste. Bring to a boil with the passata and a little meat broth. Season with paprika, honey, chili powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Add a dash of cola. Now braise in the oven at 180°C for 90 minutes, stirring occasionally. We like to serve it with rice or fries.
