Sherry Trifle

The perfect sherry trifle recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the 1st layer

  • 1 packet Frozen berries
  • 1 Glass Cherries
  • 2 teaspoon Strength
  • 1 piece Vanilla pod
  • 2 teaspoon Sugar

For the 2nd layer

  • 150 g Shortbread
  • Sherry
  • Amarena cherry liqueur
  • 1 packet Jello

For the 3rd layer

  • 1 packet Custard powder
  • 500 Milliliters Milk
  • 3 tablespoon Sugar
  1. Bring the berries and cherries to the boil, mix the starch and a little cherry juice in a bowl and add to the boiling berries. Add the vanilla pod and sugar and bring to the boil. Divide the mixture evenly into glasses and let cool.
  2. Crumble the biscuits and soak them in sherry and cherry liqueur. Spread the biscuits on the red fruit jelly. Prepare jelly according to the package insert and divide over the biscuit mixture. Let it get cold at the end.
  3. Prepare vanilla pudding and divide it between the glasses. Decorate with cream, berries, syrup, etc.
