Shiitake mushroom sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g shiitake mushroom(s)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 100 ml whipped cream
  • 3 tbsp Parmesan, grated
  • possibly salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

very quick to make – also works with other mushrooms

Clean and slice the mushrooms (or oyster mushrooms, mu err, or button mushrooms). Melt the butter in a pan and fry the mushrooms until well-seared. Deglaze with soy sauce and cream, and simmer gently over medium heat. Melt the Parmesan cheese in the sauce and stir well. Season with salt and pepper. Delicious with rice or tagliatelle. Tip: If you let the finished mushroom pan stand on the hot stovetop at very low heat for about 10 minutes, the sauce will become wonderfully creamy.
