Shortbread cookies

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 pinch(s) of baking powder
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 250 g butter
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

according to my great-grandmother’s recipe

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl (for example, with a hand mixer) until you have a dough. This dough will be quite stiff. If it’s too runny, the cookies will spread during preparation on the baking sheet. Now put the dough into a meat grinder with a pastry attachment and place small pieces of dough of the desired size on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Because the dough is quite stiff, it’s easier to roll the dough into small pieces in the meat grinder than to press it onto the baking sheet with a piping bag. Then simply place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake at 180°C for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown. It’s best to store the cookies in a cookie tin once they’ve cooled down – this way they stay crispy and delicious for a long time.
