Shrimp skewers in chili-lime marinade

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 24 shrimp(s)
  • 4 tsp honey, liquid
  • 1 tsp sauce (Tapatio Hot Sauce)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce, light
  • 3 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp coriander
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • some ginger, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

For the marinade, combine honey, Tapatío Hot Sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, cilantro, garlic cloves, and some freshly grated ginger. Toss the shrimp thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate for about 60 minutes. Thread two shrimp onto each wooden skewer. Fry in a lightly greased pan for about 5 minutes, until pink.
