Chai tea syrup

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 8 tea bags (chai tea) OR:
  • 6 tea bags (chai black tea)
  • 200 ml water
  • 200 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Boil water in a pot, add the tea bags, and let it steep for about 15 minutes. Remove the bags and squeeze out the excess water. Add the sugar, stir well, bring to a boil, and simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently. The syrup shouldn’t be too thick, as it will solidify even more as it cools. Pour the syrup into bottles and seal them tightly. Keeps for about 6 months. Tip: Simply add to hot milk or water and enjoy chai tea immediately. Also delicious with dessert or in coffee.
