Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 125 g bacon, diced
  • 1 can of tomatoes, chopped
  • Salt
  • Pepper, white
  • Sugar
  • 10 sage leaves
  • 250 g spaghetti or rigatoni
  • Parmesan

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Slice the onion and fry in olive oil in a large pan for about 2 minutes. Add the bacon and fry, then the diced garlic. Fry everything until the bacon is crispy and the onions are nicely colored. Add the tomatoes and a little water, season with salt, white pepper, and sugar, close the lid, and simmer over medium heat for about 30 minutes. Add a little more water if necessary. About 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time, stir in the striped sage leaves. Meanwhile, cook the pasta al dente. Toss with the sauce and serve. Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
